Hey Giuseppe, only just seen this. Forgot I did this article tbh! Yeah you’ve made a solid point, we actually stopped posting so much to this profile a while ago to focus on our brands only. There’s a lot that has changed with IG since we first did this blog 3 years ago. For one it’s become a pay to play platform since the IG algorithm has affected engagement levels only showing it to a smaller percentage of the following. We lost a lot of engagement that way. With also shifting from quotes to personal brand we lost some of the audience. Plus quotes pages become saturated. People got bored! We stopped posting which lost some interest, we did a lot wrong with it in the transition of working out where we wanted to take the page. A lot of lessons learned!

I’m very transparent about it though. In fact I tend to stick with paid traffic methods for growth now, it’s a lot faster and can be more targeted with your reach/traffic you receive. Get better quality leads from it. In fact I may well do another article as an updated blog following this.

But I will say regardless of the above, I tend to quote one thing a lot and that’s ‘you can’t pay for dinner with likes’. I have pages with low likes/comments that generates a lot of money regardless. I have friends with a lot of likes and comments, but make zero money. So it’s down to how you value those vanity metrics and where the priorities are focused.

I would stick to 10-20 people and keep them relevant to your niche. As IG likes to put you in front of accounts similar to yours. Keep it relevant
